Apple TV is now available on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. The new app gives users the ability to watch Apple TV+, third-party channels like Showtime and Starz, and content purchased from iTunes.

Its launch coincides with the PlayStation 5’s big debut in many key markets, including the United States.

It wasn’t too long ago that you had to buy Apple’s own set-top box to enjoy Apple content on your big screen. But following the launch of Apple TV+, it has quickly expanded its reach to third-party hardware.

Apple TV is now available on devices from Amazon, Samsung, Vizio, LG, and more. Its latest stop is on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.

Apple TV hits PlayStation

Those with a compatible console can today download the Apple TV app from the PlayStation Store. It’s free, though you will need a subscription to enjoy paid services, like Apple TV+.

Apple TV+ is priced at $4.99 a month for individuals, but one-year free trials are available for those who buy a new iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, or Mac. Apple TV+ is also included with the Apple One bundle.

Apple TV is also available to download on Microsoft’s newest consoles, Xbox Series X and Series S, as well as on Xbox One.
