The American Film Institute announced Tuesday it has launched a dedicated AFI Movie Club collection of chosen films on the Apple TV app.
The club is not a subscription service but simply recommendations of content that can be bought through iTunes for $14.99 or rented through Disney+, Hulu, or HBO for $3.99 each.
Along with daily movie picks, the AFI Film Club has a section that includes the AFI’s top 100 greatest films of all time, including Pulp Fiction, Toy Story, Gone with the Wind, and others.
The films are listed under the “Browse by Collection” menu and will be updated daily. They are available on iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, Mac, select Samsung and LG smart TVs, and Roku and Amazon Fire TV devices.
The service launched in March featuring The Wizard of Oz as picked by Steven Spielberg. For the Apple TV launch, the second featured is Spartacus, starring Kirk Douglas.
