I have ridiculously sensitive eyes; the kind of eyes that feel like they’re being repeatedly stabbed with chopsticks if more than just the slightest bit of light hits them before they’ve had time to adjust.
So when I ran across the press release for Wake Up Now? describing an app that makes the iPhone call out the time, I was intrigued.
Just make a loud enough sound — apparently any sort of sound will do — and the app will announce the time. The threshold at which the app reacts is customizable — good thing, because, one can only imagine the chatty, all-night-long conversations between sleep-talkers and their iPhones were it otherwise.
The app costs $1 and also has an alarm function that allows the user to choose songs on the iPhone to wake up with.
