We’re hearing rumblings that a huge number of Verizon iPhone users have been without 3G data this morning… a rare lapse of service indeed for the country’s most reliable wireless provider. We’re not sure which areas, though, are being effected, although some reports suggest that it has something to do with Verizon’s on-going LTE rollout.

My Verizon LTE hotspot seems to be working fine, in Kansas City.
I’m in Southern California (Orange County) and everything seems to be working fine.
No problems in Salt Lake City…
Yes my 3G has been horrible the last 2 days. It totally went yesterday. I’ve noticed a major slowdown in the network since I first got Verizon last year. They said they were ready to handle all those iPhones but I don’t think they are and it’s a little more clear why AT&T had problems.

They must have caught whatever horrible “data disease” AT&T chronically has.
Ventura County, SoCal and I’m not having any problems at all.
No 3G issues on an iPhone in Southern NJ/Phila area….

No 3G here in West Michigan from about 10PM until sometime early this morning.
AT&T has never had the almost routine major outages like Verizon has lately. They might have had issues with the amount of traffic but no complete losses of connectivity and even then AT&T’s problems were/are generally isolated to a particular area of a city.
You are absolutely correct. With AT&T it’s definitely a capacity issue, especially in Manhattan and Brooklyn. It’s only gotten even worse the last two weeks (probably more people getting phones on Black Friday) and will probably be worse after more people get new phones for Christmas.
It’s fun to get a full five bars and not get data connection.
Yes, problems yesterday in Toledo, OH with 3G. For the most part though, I have been very happy with Verizon’s network…..usually very reliable.
