The Netflix app is now fully compatible with the new iPad Pro.

It takes full advantage of the space offered by the latest Liquid Retina displays, which are the first iPad screens with rounded corners that stretch edge-to-edge.

Netflix was already compatible with the new iPads, and it didn’t look completely terrible because their resolutions haven’t changed. However, the app wasn’t optimized for the Liquid Retina’s rounded edges and Home indicator, so there was some ugly letterboxing.

The app’s latest update fixes that.

Netflix now looks as good as ever on the new iPad Pro. Its stretches to the edges of the screen and avoids any black borders. The latest release notes also promise bug fixes and performance improvements.

Sadly, the new iPad Pro lineup does not support HDR content like the iPhone X and above. However, you can use its USB-C connector to output HDR content to a compatible monitor at up to 4K.

You can download the latest Netflix release now from the App Store.
