You want to cut cable, but can’t imagine giving up recording your favorite programs to watch later? That was me a few years ago, and a Tablo TV tuner was just what I was looking for. This digital video recorder from Nuvyyo captures up to two shows at once off free local airwaves, then streams them to your Apple TV, iPad or iPhone whenever you want.
Even better, you can now get one at 25% below the usual cost.

Cable TV is crazy expensive. The cost varies, but the range is between $40 and $145 per month… and that’s without bundled internet access. There’s a good chance you pay more for it than you do for electricity, natural gas, water or trash service. I cut my cable when the bill hit $200 a month. Admittedly, that included internet access, but I was still paying close to $150 a month for TV.
Shelling out that much can be hard to justify, especially when dozens of free TV channels are available via an antenna. If you’ve been a cable subscriber for decades, you might have missed the huge proliferation of over-the-air stations. There are 93 in my area, for example. That, of course, includes all the major networks: NBC, ABC, Fox, etc.
For me, it works out like this: most of what I watch is on streaming services – Netflix, Amazon Prime, Apple TV+. But I do watch some shows on the major networks. If that sounds like you too, then virtually nothing you watch requires a cable subscription. Stop paying for it.
With a Tablo TV tuner and in-room antenna, you can watch broadcast TV with absolutely no subscription fee. Even better, you can record shows to enjoy later, and fast-forward through commercials. The tuner comes with enough storage for about 50 hours of TV, or you can easily add capacity by plugging in an SSD.
I use mine to watch Tracker, High Potential and other shows, and it goes great. I especially like that I can record and watch these series with no monthly fees — I pay enough of those for streaming services.
I did a full Tablo TV review explaining its advantages and drawbacks.
Deal knocks 25% off Tablo TV tuner
Rather than put down too much for next month’s cable bill, use the same cash to buy a Tablo TV tuner and antenna. It’s probably about the same amount of money, or maybe even less. And thereafter you can stop paying the cable subsection fee forever.
This is an even better deal now that Nuvyyo knocked 25% off the cost of a two-channel tuner with antenna. It’s regularly priced at $119.95, but an Amazon deal makes the Tablo $89.95 — save a sweet $30.

This is a temporary deal, not a permanent price reduction. If you’re interested, don’t procrastinate because you might miss it.
