Of course, two weeks from now, Roxio will release Roxio Toast 12, with an upgrade fee of only $60…

Horrible software, and horribly overpriced even at $50.

Note: In the “Utilities” folder (inside the “Applications” folder), of *every* Macintosh is a utility called “Disk Utility” that does everything Toast does, but for FREE.

To new users: “Toast” is one of those apps that *used* to be ubiquitous and *was* the most preferred, easiest, and best way to copy disks on a Mac for many years. It hasn’t been anything but the lowest consumer crap for about the last five years however.

Don’t be fooled. This is one of those apps that is selling on past glory and name recognition when it has far outlived it’s usefulness and has in reality become a rip-off product that isn’t worth five dollars, let alone fifty or a hundred.

Burn what? Daddy, what does mean “disk burning”?
