Stunning new color options for iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro are today revealed in new images from case-maker Olixar.
One supposed finish — which mixes light pastel pink, green and yellow — is similar to the stunning Aura color options available for Samsung’s new Galaxy Note 10.
Apple TV does more than just stream video. It will also be tied into Apple Arcade. Photo: Apple
The first new Apple TV set-top box in two years is reportedly coming soon. The updated tvOS player supposedly will be powered by the same chip that’s in the iPhone XS series, potentially making it a better way to play Apple Arcade games than its predecessors.

Almost every picture you’ve seen of the iPhone 11 might be wrong. New images of this model have surfaced and they show that Apple could be tweaking the look of the back.
The change could be made so it’s easier to use this handset to wirelessly charge another device, like an AirPods case.

An analysts’ note makes a rare mention of Apple Watch Series 5. Photo: Graham Bower/Cult of Mac
An updated Apple Watch could launch as early as next month but almost nothing has leaked out about it so far. That makes a reputable analyst’s prediction that struggling Japan Display could make OLED screens for Apple Watch Series 5 something worth taking note of.

Developers hunting through the just-released iOS 13 beta apparently found a reference to the exact date Apple will introduce the next iPhone. A screenshot, labeled “hold for release” and buried in the beta, has a date on it: September 10.
The already slender MacBook bezels could nearly disappear in the 16-inch version. Photo: Apple
Apple’s next MacBook Pro will reportedly fit a 16-inch screen into the same size chassis as the current 15-inch model. An industry analyst says Apple plans to take the logical step and drop the smaller screen option.
This would keep Apple’s laptop lineup simple, with just 13-inch or 16-inch MacBook Pros, and a 13-inch MacBook Air.

Two more Apple tablets were added to a Eurasian intergovernmental agency’s database. This pushes the number of mystery iPads expected soon up to seven.
So far, this database has been a very accurate predictor of upcoming Apple devices.

The keyboard in the newest MacBooks have the same problem as earlier ones. Photo: Apple
One of the worst problems with the MacBook Pro and other Apple notebooks is finally going to get fixed this year.
Apple reportedly will move away from its controversial butterfly keyboard in favor of a more reliable design. And according to the best Apple analyst in the game, the new keyboard will come to the 16-inch MacBook Pro first.
Apple reportedly expects iPhone sales to remain stable this year. Photo: Ian Fuchs/Cult of Mac
Apple suppliers reportedly are gearing up to produce 75 million iPhone 11 devices this year.
That number falls roughly in line with the number Apple produced last year for the iPhone XR, XS and XS Max. It suggests that, while iPhone sales certainly aren’t growing like they did half a decade ago, Apple doesn’t think they’re shrinking either.

With renders and dummy units showing how a third rear camera might look on 2019 iPhones, there’s still some debate about how the new lens array will look on the final product.
Notorious smartphone-leaker Ben Geskin tweeted a few images this morning showing a different take on the iPhone XI and iPhone XI Max than we’ve seen before. Instead of having a giant black tile in the back, Geskin suggests Apple may not hide the lenses at all. Instead, the three-lens array would be on full display.

A new video serves up what could be the best glimpse so far at Apple’s next-gen handsets.
YouTuber Marques Brownlee gives his thoughts on dummy models of the iPhone 11, 11 Max and 11R. While these aren’t working units, they are dimensionally correct mockups created for iPhone case-makers. As such, you can put decent stock in these being pretty accurate.
Apple Glasses could be the next big thing. Photo: Martin Hajek
Production of Apple’s upcoming augmented reality glasses has supposedly been “terminated,” according to one of the worst sources of Apple rumors on the internet.
A number of websites have taken DigiTimes’ dubious report of the canceled Apple smart glasses as fact. However, after digging into iOS 13’s assets, one of the best Apple sleuths in the world says there’s still a lot of evidence that the AR glasses might come even sooner than expected.

The first details about multiple unannounced 2019 iPad models are leaking out. Several Apple tablets just appeared in a Eurasian intergovernmental agency’s database.
And production for at least one of these devices begins this month, according to a source in Asia.

Apple updated the design of its AirPods in-ear headphones this spring but reportedly isn’t resting on its laurels. A redesigned third-generation version will be out later this year, according to a market-analysis firm.
Apple chips keep shrinking, which makes them more efficient. Photo: TSMC
This fall’s iPhone models will supposedly include a processor able to outperform any Android handset. It apparently won’t be just a little bit better, either. The source for this unconfirmed report on the A13 chip says it will offer “a one-year advantage” in graphics performance. Multi-core performance supposedly will get a large boost, too.

A new 16-inch MacBook Pro is coming this fall, according to analysts at IHS Markit. This would give it the largest screen size of any MacBook Pro model currently available. (Although it still would be smaller than the dearly departed 17-inch model.)
The analysts claim Apple will unleash the new laptop at the company’s September media event alongside the new iPhone.
The iPhone X was the first iOS device to get an OLED display. Photo: Apple
Weak iPhone sales over the last two years could cause Apple to bring OLED displays to the iPad or MacBooks a bit earlier than expect.
Apple owes Samsung Display hundreds of millions of dollars because it agreed to purchase a certain amount of OLED displays per year. With iPhone sales in a slump, Apple hasn’t bought as many OLEDs as it promised but the two sides are reportedly discussing alternative solutions other than sending a giant pile of cash to Samsung.

The 2019 iPhone lineup hasn’t even been revealed yet but we might already know what next year’s iPhones will look like too.
Recent rumors have claimed that Apple will come out with new screen sizes for the 2020 iPhone lineup. The biggest iPhone will get a bit bigger while the smallest will get a little bit smaller. To see how that would look, Ben Geskin created a mockup of the upcoming devices, and they look fantastic.
Check out the size comparison with the current iPhones:

This fall’s iPhone could include a feature that will make it more fun; dual Bluetooth would allow each handset to send audio to two different speakers at the same time.
