Take A Peek At Project’s 360-Degree Magazine Cover For iPad

Here’s a quick video of Project magazine’s panoramic cover for its latest issue.

The iPad-only magazine uses the iPad 2′s gyroscope to create a cover that moves through 360-degrees as you sweep the iPad around the room. It is available now from the App Store for $2.99.

    As far as gimmicks go, it’s a fun little novelty. But yes a gimmick, though it doesn’t exactly make the product any worse.

    Kinda reminds me of the this film magazine which had one of those animated covers, you saw straight on a picture of Anakin Skywalker and when you tilt it the picture you see is Darth Vader.

    sure it’s a gimmick but at least they are using the tech. Unlike some digital mags that are just PDF/epubs of the print version.
