Hillary and Chelsea Clinton collaborated on The Book of Gutsy Women: Favorite Stories of Courage and Resilience, and now it’s being turned into an Apple TV+ docuseries hosted by the two.
Gutsy Women shares the stories of inspiring people
The former first lady, senator and Secretary of State made the announcement on Twitter. She and her daughter are forming a production company, and their “first project will be an @AppleTV adaptation of Gutsy Women, the book Chelsea and I wrote to chronicle the lives of trailblazing women whose stories deserve to be more widely shared.”

Their book is about “leaders with the courage to stand up to the status quo, ask hard questions, and get the job done.” It includes profiles of civil-rights activists Dorothy Height and Harriet Tubman, LGBTQ trailblazer Edie Windsor, swimmer Diana Nyad, historian Mary Beard and more. The Apple TV+ show will seek to discover what it takes to be a gutsy woman.
Apple’s streaming video service includes an array of documentaries, like The Oprah Conversation, Becoming Youand Boys State. Watching any of them will require a $4.99 a month subscription. However, Cupertino includes a one-year free subscription with the purchase of many Apple devices.
