The first closed beta test for Minecraft Earth will begin this month — just weeks after its first unveiling at WWDC.

You can sign up for early access to the game today. A new beta trailer gives us a sneak peek of what to expect during the test.

Minecraft Earth makes everyone’s favorite crafting game more immersive than ever before. It takes advantage of augmented reality to bring your creations to life in the real world.

Using your iPhone, you’ll be able to place your Minecraft worlds on a floor or table right in front of you. You will then be able to walk around them in real-time, and invite friends to join you.

It’s the most ambitious title in the Minecraft series to date, and fans of the game will be itching to get their hands on it. Sign up for the beta and the wait might be over very soon.

Minecraft comes to life

Mojang today confirmed the first Minecraft Earth closed beta will kick off this month. You can sign up for a chance to get early access right now through the new Minecraft Earth website.

By submitting an application, you’ll receive updates on the game ahead of its release, and you’ll earn a free character skin. But not everyone will get access to the beta.

As is always the case with closed beta tests, places are limited. Only a certain number of players will get to try the game during the initial test, so the quicker you sign up, the better.

You’ll need an iPhone or iPad running iOS 10 or later to take part, as well as a Microsoft or Xbox Live account. You will also need to be 18 or older.

If you are lucky enough to bag an invite, the new beta trailer below shows you what you can expect from Minecraft Earth early on.
