Nintendo is now selling official iPhone cases in Europe.
They’re perfect for fans of Animal Crossing or Splatoon, but you’ll need to grab them fast. Nintendo says only a limited supply is available.
It took Nintendo way too long to embrace mobile devices, but we got there in the end. The Japanese company now offers an impressive catalog of games for iOS — with more on the way — and it is even selling iPhone accessories.
Its official cases are available exclusively from the My Nintendo Store in Europe with prices starting at €24.99 (approx. $28) — but there are some caveats.
Official iPhone cases will please any Nintendo fan
The brightly-colored silicon cases are decorated with designs from the hit franchises Animal Crossing and Splatoon. Some are even squid-shaped like the lovable Inklings’ phones in Splatoon 2. They’re awesome.
But getting hold of one might be tricky. The new cases can only be purchased in certain countries across Europe (the U.K. isn’t one of them), and Nintendo warns that only a limited supply is available.
What’s more, the cases don’t support Apple’s latest handsets. They’re compatible only with the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s, the iPhone 7, and the iPhone 8.
