The Apple CEO’s tour of Europe continued today with a visit to sunny Spain. He’s there to promote tomorrow’s launch of the HomePod in the country. He’s also talking up the release of the iPhone XR, which will debut around the world on Friday.

Cook acted as his own press agent today, talking up his travels on Twitter.

His first message came from  a photo opportunity with Rosalía Vila, a Spanish singer and actress. Cook said:

“La música corre por nuestras venas. Thank you for making HomePod’s launch in Spain extra special, @rosaliavt!  Your new album is phenomenal.”

HomePod in Spain and Spanish

Translated from Spanish, the beginning of the Apple CEO’s message says “Music runs through our veins.” That’s a reference to the debut of Apple’s smartspeaker in Spain and Mexico. The HomePod gained support for the Spanish language just a few weeks ago.

This $349 product only launched at the beginning of this year and can be purchased in just a handful of countries.  Before tomorrow’s release, it’s selling in the U.S., U.K., Australia,  Canada, France, and Germany. This limited availability is surely helping hold down sales.

Don’t forget the iPhone XR launch

While in the Spanish capital, Tim Cook gave a shout out to Apple employees who are getting ready for tomorrow’s debut of the latest iOS handset. His second Tweet says:

“Our teams here in Madrid and all around the world are gearing up for Friday’s launch of iPhone XR. Thanks for stopping by, @rosaliavt!”

Spain is just one of more than 50 countries where the XR will be available on launch day, from Croatia to South Africa, Qatar to Thailand.
