Eddy Cue really likes helping out charities. Either that or he really enjoys lunches with fans.
That’s based on the fact that, just weeks after his last charity auction offering lunch to one lucky Apple fan ended, Apple’s senior vice president of Internet Software and Services is auctioning off yet another charity lunch date — this time to benefit the charity Autism Movement Therapy.
“Here’s your chance to have lunch with Eddy Cue at the stunning new 175-acre Apple Headquarters in Cupertino, CA, where you will learn more about Apple’s industry-leading content stores and online services,” organizers CharityBuzz write. “This is a rare opportunity to see Apple Park and engage in a one-on-one, in-depth conversation with one of the most innovative business minds of our generation.”
There are 15 days currently remaining on the auction, with bids right now standing at $15,000 against an estimated $50,000 price tag.
Cue is one of Apple’s longest-lasting executives, having been there long before the likes of Jony Ive, Tim Cook, Craig Federighi, Angela Ahrendts and others. Right now, he oversees the iTunes Store, Apple Music, Apple Pay, Siri, Maps, iCloud, and other services.
You probably won’t get too much information about Apple’s future plans, but considering his knowledge of Apple goes back to 1989, we bet he’s got some killer stories he wouldn’t mind sharing about Apple in the bad old days of the 1990s and its subsequent turnaround at the hands of Steve Jobs.
Earlier this year, Apple CEO Tim Cook broke records when an auction to meet him sold for a crazy $680,000. Based on that, a $50k lunch with Eddy Cue is a certified bargain!
