Readdle just rolled out big updates that give users the ability to drag and drop content between its entire lineup of awesome productivity apps on iPad. It’s never been easier to multitask and manage your most important files on the go.
The company has also updated Documents 6 to turn it into a “Finder on iOS.”
“Touch is the most intuitive computing interface invented,” Readdle says. “However, the ability to drag & drop content is not utilized on mobile devices. The iPad was screaming for drag & drop as a way to share content between two simultaneously running apps.”
Now it’s possible if you use Readdle apps (and you should).
That means if you receive a PDF via email in Spark, and you want to save it for later, you can now open Documents alongside it and drag the PDF into a folder. When you’re ready to begin working on it, you can drag it from Documents into PDF Expert.
It really is that simple.
Sadly, Apple doesn’t make it easy to drag and drop files between different apps on iOS, so this functionality is only available between Readdle apps — specifically Documents, PDF Expert, Scanner Pro, and Spark. But it’s still incredibly useful.
What’s more, Readdle has updated Documents 6 to make it even more powerful.
In addition to a fancy new design with quick actions, there’s a new way to import all your files, a new media player, and a music streaming option. Readdle has also added the ability to edit files in the cloud without having to download them.
You can download the latest versions of Readdle’s apps now from the App Store. If you don’t already have them, you’ll find links and current prices below:
