Sometimes a peach is just a peach. But when it comes to emoji, it’s also a tush.
Yet, much to the chagrin of those who like to use emoji for more than visual grocery lists, Apple’s first 10.2 developer beta replaced the peach emoji with something that looks less like a posterior, and more like a piece of fruit or something.
For a minute there, the emoji world was looking to become a little bit less exciting. And people weren’t happy about it.

Today, though, iOS 10.2 beta 3 was released, and it seems Apple heard the cries of its saucier users. The new peach emoji adds a bit more detail to its shading, but retains the rump-ish shape that sexters have come to adore.
Apple is keen to make as many of its users happy as possible, and let’s be honest — plenty of its developers were probably bumming out over the loss of one the most suggestive characters in the emoji library. After all, if you never saw a butt in this character, chances are you weren’t using the peach emoji much anyway.
Disaster averted, folks. Carry on with your sexy texting.
