Apple hit a huge milestone this week thanks to Drake’s latest album, Views, which just became the first album to hit one billion streams on Apple Music.
Apple CEO Tim Cook made it a point to personally toast Drizzy on his accomplishment, and presented a plaque to the singer/rapper alongside VP of Service Eddy Cue.

Views was released as an Apple Music exclusive on April 29th and also managed to sell 1 million copies in the first week. Spotify and other services got the album one week later.
Drake and Apple Music have been working together since the summer of 2015 when the streaming service debuted at WWDC. Drake’s OVO Sound produces a regular Beats 1 radio show, while Apple has picked up the bill to produce Drake’s music videos like “Hotline Bling.”
Apple is also sponsoring Drake’s “Summer Sixteen” tour with Future that ends in mid-October in Newark, NJ. Based on the new short-film Drake just exclusively debuted on Apple Music this morning, it looks like the Apple + Drake pairing isn’t set to die any day soon.
The explosive visual companion to #VIEWS. @drake’s Please Forgive Me.

It’s too bad our society promotes things of quantity instead of things of quality. It’s too bad people with such little musical talent even have a job in the music industry. he shouldn’t. he has no musical talent.
I currently get paid approximately 6000-8000 dollars on monthly basis for freelance tasks i do at home. Everyone prepared to work simple online task for some h every day from your sofa at home and make good checks while doing it… Test this work KORTA.NU/NDe
Its too bad you don’t know wtf you’re talking about. You probably haven’t even listened to a single Drake song besides the ones on the radio, which are his worst ones. Go back to your trailer and sing kumbaya cuz thats the REAL music right?
With that many streams he should be able to get double cheese on his pizza.
How in the world is this even possible? His rap is filled with racist, sexist vile language rife with the N word. It’s beyond belief that anyone could consider this desirable to listen to in any way. I’m aghast that Apple would associate itself with this (except for the profit motive).
Racist? Oh yea i always forget white people get angry at black people because they can say the n word and you can’t. Lets think about it….why are you guys so mad you can’t use a derogatory term that we use as a term of endearment? Think
I weep for humanity…
And what music would rather Apple partner with? Some folk band? Country? Please enlighten us.
