Two days after seeding the latest OS X Yosemite beta to developers, Apple has now made OS X 10.10.5 beta 1 available to all public beta testers.
The new beta doesn’t come with any major new features, however, Apple stated in the OS X 10.10.5 release notes earlier this week that the update “improves the stability, compatibility, and security of your Mac.”
OS X 10.10.5 could be one of the last updates to come to Yosemite before the public release of El Capitan, which is scheduled to ship this fall. The last OS X Yosemite beta came out in May with improvements to Photos, Migration and the Arabic and Hebrew languages.
To download OS X 10.10.5, head over to Apple’s Beta Software Program page and sign up. Once you’ve registered, you’ll also be allowed to download betas for OS X El Capitan, as well as iOS 9.
