Natatlie Kerris has been one of the most prominent figures on Apple’s PR team for the past decade, but today she announced that she’s ready to jettison from the mothership.
In a message posted on Twitter today, Kerris says she’s stepping away from Apple after working at the company for the past 14 years. The former PR director hasn’t said what she’ll be doing next, but based on the Steve Jobs quote she shared in her tweet, she’ll be moving on to a new adventure soon.
After 14 amazing years at Apple, it’s time to move on and see what adventures life holds for me next! pic.twitter.com/9oFp3lGcMB

Kerris handled communications for a number of top Apple products, including the iPhone, and was one of former PR boss Katie Cotton’s top lieutenants. Kerris was vying to replace Cotton after she stepped down from Apple last year, but Apple instead announced last week that it promoted Steve Dowling to VP of Communications.
“I’m retiring to enjoy life,” Kerris told The Loop. “Two weeks in Italy with my family gave me a new perspective on life.”
An update was also made to Kerris’ LinkedIn profile today summarizing her career at Apple working with Tim Cook and Jony Ive.:
“Kerris worked directly with Apple’s visionary executive team, including Steve Jobs, Tim Cook and Jony Ive, to reshape Apple’s narrative from tech underdog to industry disrupter, through the meteoric rise of the iPhone to become the world’s most valuable and profitable company.”
Congratulations, Nat! You’ll never have to not respond to our annoying emails again.
