The new MacBook is the biggest revolution to hit the laptop line in a decade, yet it’s not without its haters.
A mobile processor. One USB-C port. A 480p front camera. And a $1,299 price tag. “Just who the hell at Apple signed off on this thing?!” some fans might be asking. Well, thanks to some very rare footage of an Apple “engineer” speaking about the design process of the new MacBook, we finally know what was going through Jony and Tim’s heads when they signed off on production.
Whether you love or hate the new MacBook, you’ll laugh your ass off as the engineer tells a Spanish TV host all about the hilarious process.

I understand and accept what’s going on with the new Macbook and I still laughed with this video. We need to know how to laugh at ourselves, jokes about what we like can be funny sometimes. At least this wasn’t like a Samsung ad where they try so hard to make fun that it isn’t funny at all.
I think there’s some problems with Cult Of Mac’s publications, but this wasn’t one of them.

Agreed! I understand Spanish, so the bait and switch was clear from the beginning. Not funny and a bit of a let down, as I was expecting a story about a computer and, simply, got a video about food.
As Cult of Mac also publishes serious stories and wants to be taken seriously by it readers in the future, it should clearly differentiate serious pieces from comedic ones,

This guy had his 15 minutes of fame in Spain a few years ago, the call him CUÑAO (brother in law) because he always says that like this “CUÑAOOOOOOOOOO” while laughing hysterically, it was quite funny for a while. Even funnier is that I am buying the Space Grey MacBook with that 480p webcam in 2015! Hahahahahaha!!!
He is NOT talking about food at all like some people say, basically the story goes like this:
He used to work at a small restaurant near the beach, so while he was working in the kitchen the boss tells him to hurry and go get the big frying pan mostly used to cook paella (frying pan is also called paella in Spain, just like the food), that morning he only had time to put on a swimsuit and some sandals and his hair was a mess, so he goes to the beach to get the frying pan but the tide had gone up and took the frying pan with it, that’s when he laughs hysterically!! CUÑAOOOOOOOOO!!!!
I am still wetting my pants over this video. I have watched it over and over until my eyes were burned by the salty tears. But I still watched it again. My stomach cramped from laughing so much. Then I watched it again. I almost fainted from lack of oxygen because I was laughing so hard. Then I watched it again. Forget the Spanish cos the subtitles are just perfect. I’m gonna watch it again…

What’s even funnier is that the die-hards are focusing their attentions entirely on the merits (or not) of the video humour but overlooking the serious point here. Apple have produced a poor and very overpriced Netbook here – it’s powerless and will need to be enhanced by the usual absurd range of newly developed transformers and extensions to connect to anything/everything. Never under Steve Jobs’s stewardship.
