New Samsung ads targets all of Apple’s Tuesday announcements

Hey, at least give Samsung credit for being quick off the mark.

Apple’s Tuesday keynote is only days old and already professional Apple spoofer Samsung has released a new series of ads skewering Cupertino’s latest developments — from its Apple Watch to its problematic live feed.

There are six ads in total, all designed to advertize the Galaxy Note 4, although barely any time is given to talking up Samsung’s own products, since the company clearly feels it’s better off trying to tear down its leading competitor.

The remaining ads — attacking the iPhone 6 display size, lack of multi-tasking, absence of stylus, battery life and Apple Watch — can be seen below.

They’re far from the best Apple parodies we’ve seen, but I do admit that I momentarily chuckled at the live stream ad. Even with the full knowledge that Samsung’s servers would almost certainly crash if it attracted half the views of an Apple keynote.

Typical… don’t know how to sucess, so lets try to show our oponent failures (even if they aren’t failures.. by far).

Your point? Market wants bigger screen, so why do not offer it?

      • KrisAntiHypocrisy says:

That market was developed thanks to other brands.
Apple is doing nothing wrong in upgrading. But I would appreciate if they accept that they were wrong all this while. Also all the folks who called big screens ugly need a lot to apologise for.
PS: once again please don’t call copying as customer feedback. That way even android can claim they developed something customers wanted…

I like how Apple stays away from the pissing match with Samsung. Sure, they have their moments but they don’t take it this far. I say let them shit on Apple as much as they want. It only makes us iSheep stay away from Samsung products. It’s also free advertising for Apple, if anyone who has a brain can see through the sillyness.

Surprised Samsung didn’t slap Apple logos on these guy’s shirts since they are attacking Apple.

I like how Apple can keep up with the mantra DIFFERENT and then launch a watch that is no different than the galaxy gear. I think these videos are pretty accurate.

    • Jed Axel says:

i thought it looks similar too. but how rad of a design can it be? its either round, square, rectangular. What made me excited for the watch is the wheel. That is plain genius

      • Martin says:

I wouldn’t go that far. Watches have had crowns for decades. I’d call it smart to use an existing feature as a new input device. And, let’s not forget–the Blackberry had a click wheel in the 90s. It’s the same thing done better.

      • JRX says:

Yes, but no one though to use it this way until now, which makes it pretty genius. Remixing existing technologies into new and novel ideas is exactly what innovation is most of the time (see the movie Flash of Genius about the intermittent wiper invention for a great real life example).

    • JRX says:

No different? LOL wow, you obviously didn’t even look at the Apple Watch. The difference in capability is night and day.

  5. JRX says:

Yeah, keep it up Samscum… keep insulting people and acting like a second hand product by constantly having to attack the one who never mentions you in their ads. Keep it up, for every time you put out a low class ad like this means I’m that much less inclined to ever give your products a chance.

I’m actually starting to feel bad for Samsung now.

At least the PC guy in the I’m a Mac/PC was lovable and funny. These are sophomoric.

    • Jrodd says:

They don’t really have much class. I am wondering how these horrible ads got okay-ed. Seriously Samsung, lay off everyone who works on your ads they are classless and unoriginal.

  7. Alex says:

What to know when a brand is #2 in the market? when it compares or tries to make #1 look bad. Yes, I know apple did it with I’m a Mac / PC campaign, which at least it was funny not stupid. If you want costumers from the other brand to join you don’t offend them.

  8. Jonathan R Wegner says:

Meh — Samsung is just jealous that Apple will sell millions of iPhones and have a single unified user experience. I run both iOS and Android, and coming back to iOS is like taking a breath of fresh air after using Android and its fragmented UI.

  9. Mark Langston says:

I’m not so jaded and loyal to Apple that I can’t appreciate a good ad from the competition. While I vehemently disagree with the “wall huger” ad the presentation and execution is funny and entertaining. But these ads, they’re not clever or even remotely funny.

I don’t even understand the watch ad. Should Apple replay and besmirch the ad with a motivational speaker version of Santa Claus where the elves look all confused by Mr. Cringle’s next big thing as a watch?

Also, saying Apple releases a bigger phone then saying, “…everyone has a bigger screen” means everyone, not just Samsung, has a larger screen. So how does that bring attention to Samsung and not every other vendor?

It’s like they banged these out in one day of writing and one day of shooting but clearly they produced these commercials months if not weeks before the event and released them as necessary. Chances are there were a bunch more in the hopper that didn’t get posted because Apple had an answer for whatever they planned on mocking.

It’s just sad now. It’s like watching Fox News where you wanna say, “just stop, you’re embarrassing yourself”.

  11. DJBabyBuster says:

I find that these petty mocking ads from samsung usually don’t do much other than strengthen the apple brand, but honestly the first first one mocking the keynote streaming failure was pretty funny. Apple kinda deserved that one.

Yay! More free ads for Apple!
