Some of the best deals you can find on Apple products comes from buying refurbished. Far from second-hand rejects, refurbished Apple units come with a full year’s warranty, steep discounts and a personal once-over from an authorized Apple technician, meaning they are more likely to be technologically sound at a lower price.
If you’ve been interested in picking yourself up a late 2013 27-inch iMac, but were hoping to score a deal, good news: they’re now available refurbished on Apple’s online store.
As of right now, three models are available, as spotted by TUAW:
- 3.2GHz quad-core Intel Core i5 with 8 GB RAM, 1 TB hard drive, and NVIDIA GeForce GT 755M graphics for US$1529.00, a $270 savings versus new/list price for the same model.
- 3.5GHz quad-core Intel Core i7 with 8 GB RAM, 1 TB hard drive, and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 775M graphics for $1869.00, a $330 savings.
- 3.5GHz quad-core Intel Core i7 with 8 GB RAM, 3 TB Fusion drive, and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780M graphics for $2289.00, a $410 savings.
These are pretty good deals, albeit they come at a time when most of us can ill afford dropping a couple grand on a new computer. But if you’re one of the lucky ones, get to it!
