Spark, a renowned email client for iPhone and Mac, is getting a new AI-driven My Writing Style feature. While the email app already offers AI-powered writing assistance, the new feature aims to mirror your writing style. This will enable you to use AI to draft emails in your voice and style, giving them a personal touch.

Spark’s AI-generated emails will mirror your writing style

Apple has not yet added any generative AI features to iOS or its apps and services. It is likely waiting for WWDC to unveil all its AI efforts. On the other hand, the entire tech industry is in a race to add as many generative AI features to their services as possible.

Readdle’s Spark also jumped on the bandwagon last year and gained AI writing capabilities. With this AI integration, you could change the tone of your email to formal, neutral, or friendly. But with its new My Writing Style feature, the company is taking the game to a new level altogether.

Once enabled, the feature will go through three of your sent emails to analyze and learn your writing sample. After that, all your AI-generated replies and emails in Spark will use that tone to add a personal touch to your communication. You can edit the generated replies based on your liking and as you deem fit.

Spark says Writing My Style can help journalists, content creators, HRs, and researchers, potentially saving hours every month. Microsoft Azure OpenAI powers the generative AI feature.

Writing My Style requires Spark Premium subscription

Readdle confirms the collected data is automatically deleted after a month, and none of it is used in training LLMs.

The new Writing My Style feature is coming to Spark across all major platforms: Android, iOS, and Mac. You must be a Spark Premium subscriber($7.99 per month) to try out the feature. A 7-day free trial is available before committing to the paid plan.
