You can now buy the 14-inch MacBook Pro with M3 chip from Apple’s Certified Refurbished store. The machine launched less than four months ago, in late October 2023.

While the M3 Pro/Max MacBook Pros also debuted in October, they are not listed for sale on Apple’s refurbished store.

The late 2023 MacBook Pro features the same design as its more powerful M3 Pro/Max siblings. So, you get a 14-inch Liquid Retina XDR display with a peak brightness of 1,000 nits surrounded by slim bezels.

You only get two Thunderbolt/USB 4 ports on the MacBook Pro. But for general use, this is more than enough. One major limitation is that the M3 chip only officially supports one external monitor, which could be a bummer. Read our detailed M3 vs. M3 Pro MacBook Pro comparison to find out the differences between the two.

Thanks to these compromises, the M3 MacBook Pro costs $ 1,599, $400 less than its 14-inch Pro sibling. But if you buy the laptop from Apple’s Certified Refurbished store, you can get it for as low as $1,359. That’s an excellent $240 off the MSRP.

Apple’s refurbished store currently has multiple configurations of the M3 MacBook Pro on sale. Apart from the entry-level model, there are 512GB and 1TB storage variants with up to $270 off. Apple frequently adds new configurations, so check the store regularly.

There are many benefits to buying Apple Certified Refurbished products. They carry the same standard one-year warranty as any Apple product. Even better, you can increase the coverage further using AppleCare+. All refurbished products go through Apple’s rigorous refurbishment process. They clean them, replace all needed parts, and install a new battery.
