With the launch of a new Webex app designed for Apple TV 4K, you can now use Continuity Camera on your iPhone or iPad to join in Webex calls on your biggest screen with up to 25 participants, Webex owner Cisco said Wednesday.

New Webex app is designed for Apple TV 4K and Continuity Camera

Designed specficially for Apple TV 4K, the new Webex app should serve hybrid workers at home and in the office, Webex said in a blog post. Webex first said it would release such an app after Apple rolled out FaceTime and Continuity Camera for Apple TV at WWDC23.

To use it, just scan the QR code on the sign-in screen and log in to the Webex app on Apple TV 4K, which you should wirelessly connect to iPhone or iPad. Calendar integration lets you view upcoming meetings. And you can use a Siri remote to browse meetings and join them by clicking on titles.

Here’s more of Webex’s description:

To participate in a meeting, just wirelessly connect your iPhone or iPad to Apple TV 4K and take advantage of its microphones and video camera. Webex ensures crystal-clear audio and video for collaboration on your Apple TV 4K, and once connected, the Webex app will show a preview of your video and microphone status before you join the meeting. With your Siri Remote, you can manage the in-meeting call controls and the microphone and video on your iPhone or iPad.

To use the functionality, you need a second-generation ‌Apple TV‌ 4K or later and an iPhone running iOS 17 or an iPad running iPadOS 17.
