Football fans can look forward to the February premiere of The Dynasty: New England Patriots, an Apple TV+ sports documentary that interviews Tom Brady, Bill Belichick and many others about the team’s six Super Bowl wins between 2001 and 2019 — and the team’s many scandals.

The trailer for the upcoming documentary dropped Tuesday. Watch it now.

Don’t expect a lovefest from The Dynasty: New England Patriots

The period during which Robert Kraft owned the New England Patriots, Belichick served as head coach and Brady ruled the field as quarterback is sometimes called the Dynasty. In that time, the team went to nine Super Bowls and won a half-dozen of them. That’s also the period when the Patriots were caught cheating in both Spygate and Deflategate.

Apple says of The Dynasty: New England Patriots:

“The docuseries explores the franchise’s 20-year journey, from the unique chemistry that fueled six Super Bowl wins to the internal strife that sparked a turf war. From the owner’s suite to the locker room, the series reveals an insider’s look at the road to — and cost of — greatness.”

A highlight of the 10-episode docuseries will be interviews with Kraft, Belichick and Brady. But many others go in front of the camera, too, including past and present Patriots players, coaches and executives like Adam Vinatieri, Drew Bledsoe, Rob Gronkowski, Ty Law, Bill Parcells and Jonathan Kraft.

Also interviewed are league officials and sports journalists like Roger Goodell, Al Michaels and Howard Bryant. Plus high-profile fans, such as Jon Bon Jovi, Bill Burr, Rupert Murdoch and many more.

It’s directed by Emmy-winning filmmaker Matthew Hamachek (Tiger). The docuseries is based on the New York Times bestselling book of the same title by Jeff Benedict.

Hits Apple TV+ in February

The Dynasty: New England Patriots is scheduled to premiere globally Friday, February 16. Watching comes with a $9.99-per-month subscription to Apple TV+. That’s a lower price than all of its larger rivals for a service with no commercial interruptions.

The streaming service also includes much more than sports documentaries, of course. There are dramas, comedies, science fiction, action flicks, children’s shows, etc.
