Tamagotchi Adventure Kingdom promises an epic and nostalgic adventure, while Cornsweeper is a reimagined version of a classic. These are two of the latest additions to Apple Arcade’s extensive catalogue, and are now playable on iPhone, Mac and more.

More are on the way, as are content updates to other popular games in the service.

More games come to Apple Arcade each month

Apple Arcade is a subscription service that, for $6.99 a month, brings unlimited access to over 200 games. There are offerings in almost every genre: casual, racing, RPGs, sports, puzzle, story and many more.

Previously, new games joined the collection almost every week. Starting in December, Apple changed to introducing multiple games at the beginning of each month.

There are three additions to the Arcade in January, and more planned for February.

Tamagotchi Adventure Kingdom is just so adorable

Remember the Tamagotchi craze? The virtual pets are back in
Tamagotchi Adventure Kingdom from Bandai Namco. Players join the adorable hero Mametchi in exploring quirky landscapes, encountering nearly 300 Tamagotchi characters and building their own cozy wilderness camp.

Pop some corn in Cornsweeper

Cornsweeper is a reimagining of the beloved logic puzzle game Minesweeper from Jamaican solo developer wbuttr (AKA Robert Morrison).

Players find the hidden kernels with the clues on the grid. This version is intended to be more relaxing because nothing blows up — players are just popping corn.

Practice for Vegas with Blackjack+

Blackjack by MobilityWare+ is a version of the classic card game for iPhone and iPad. It’s a great way to learn game strategy, like when splitting and doubling down make sense.

Players can choose their table as they travel from iconic locations such as London to Barcelona — each offering a unique gaming atmosphere.

More Apple Arcade fun on the way

Looking ahead to February, Apple Arcade subscribers will be able to blast off on a cosmic adventure in BEAST: Bio Exo Arena Suit Team, a 3v3 online action game with animal heroes piloting powerful mechanized armor. And Words in Progress, a puzzle game, will also launch February 1.

And many current titles will soon get new content. The very popular Hello Kitty Island Adventure welcomes the Year of the Dragon with its Luck & Lanterns Celebration on January 19. Plus, Crayola Create and Play+ gets a winter wonderland-themed makeover on January 12. There are many more updates coming.
