Apple’s extended return window is now live in the US, Japan, Turkey, and several other countries. Under this policy, customers get a longer duration to return Apple products.

Typically, Apple provides a 14-day return period for its devices in most markets worldwide.

Purchase directly from Apple to enjoy the longer return period

The extended return period is applicable for iPhones, iPads, Macs, Apple Watch, and other Apple accessories. In the US, customers can return a product purchased between November 3 and December 25 until January 8, 2024. In Spain and Japan, the return window is slightly longer and closes on January 20, 2024.

This extended return period is helpful for people looking to buy an Apple product for their loved ones this holiday season. Apple’s extended return policy is only applicable to products purchased through its online or retail stores. It does not cover third-party retailers and official Apple Authorized resellers.

Also note that the usual 14-day return window applies to products purchased after December 25, 2023.

Gift cards are not eligible for return

The longer return window covers almost all Apple hardware. However, software, gift cards, and developer products are not eligible under this. Plus, if you had activated a new line with your new iPhone, iPad, or Apple Watch purchase, returning the device might not cancel the line automatically. You’ll have to talk to your network operator about this.

Similarly, T-Mobile’s financing will make your iPhone ineligible for the extended return policy.

You can go through Apple’s Returns and Refunds page for more details on its extended holiday return window.
