Apple posted a 90-minute “Study With Me” YouTube video Wednesday showing actress Storm Reid, a college student, leading a study session with her 15-inch MacBook Air.

And while the video promotes the laptop, it really is a study session using the Pomodoro method, with study periods, breaks and music. So crack that laptop and get to work with her.

Actress Storm Reid leads 90-minute MacBook Air study session in new Apple video

I opened the video expecting more marketing, so it was a surprise when Reid simply led a study session while working on her 15-inch MacBook Air. Don’t expect to be entertained. You’re supposed to be studying along with her.

Reid, majoring in dramatic arts and minoring in African American studies at USC, talks a bit at the top of each session and each break, but mostly you see her using her laptop while chill music plays. She describes favorite techniques for relaxing and focusing.

Here’s Apple’s description:

90-minute Study With Me video featuring Storm Reid that’s designed to keep you focused on studying and away from distractions. Storm uses the Pomodoro technique, with three 25-minute study sessions followed by fun 5-minute breaks that you can follow along with or use as inspiration for your own break time. She studies using the MacBook Air 15”, chill lo-fi music to stay focused, and some of her favorite relaxation techniques.

And Reid uses a powerful tool for her schoolwork. As Apple noted:

Storm uses the new MacBook Air with a 15-inch Liquid Retina display and the M2 chip. It’s a powerful tool for multitasking, no matter what you’re studying. It has up to 18 hours of battery life (battery life varies by use), six speakers for immersive Spatial Audio, and it comes in four colors. Storm’s color is Starlight.

And don’t forget, you can get special pricing as a student.

All the music used in the video is listed on the YouTube page. And here are the video’s chapters with time stamps:
