The alternative-history sci-fi series For All Mankind returns to Apple TV+ in November, according to the streaming service. And Apple also released a teaser trailer for the upcoming season 4.

In these future episodes, the colony on Mars is fully established so the focus moves to mining the asteroids.

For All Mankind season 4 isn’t held up by strikes

For All Mankind built a loyal following since its 2019 debut. The show started with a unique premise: What if the United States wasn’t the first country to reach the moon? In subsequent seasons, U.S. astronauts have colonized the moon and now Mars. But they’re in competition with Soviet cosmonauts.

Apple’s preview of season 4 says:

“Rocketing into the new millennium in the eight years since season three, Happy Valley has rapidly expanded its footprint on Mars by turning former foes into partners. Now 2003, the focus of the space program has turned to the capture and mining of extremely valuable, mineral-rich asteroids that could change the future of both Earth and Mars. But simmering tensions between the residents of the now-sprawling international base threaten to undo everything they are working towards.”

A teaser trailer for the upcoming season takes the form of a recruitment video for Helios Aerospace looking for new colonists for the Mars colony:

The cast returning for season four includes Joel Kinnaman, Wrenn Schmidt, Krys Marshall, Edi Gathegi, Cynthy Wu and Coral Peña. New series regulars include Toby Kebbell, Tyner Rushing, Daniel Stern and Svetlana Efremova.

A release in less then two months means that the new season hasn’t been affected by ongoing writers’ and actors’ strikes in the United States.
