Just ahead of iPhone 15’s release, a squad of Anker charging accessories featuring Qi2 wireless charging — like MagSafe, but for everyone — rolled out at IFA Berlin, the company said Thursday.

New and updated products include MagGo magnetic chargers, power stations and banks with Qi2, plus updated USB-C Nano chargers and more.

The new Qi2 spec is said to work with upcoming iPhone 15 series handsets at 15W of fast-charging power without MagSafe certification.

New Anger Qi2 wireless chargers

The iPhone 15 launch should confirm if the handsets support Qi2, which features a similar, strong magnet array to MagSafe, and lets the non-MagSafe charger push the same 15W rate (as opposed to the 7.5W limit of most third-party MagSafe-compatible chargers, like older MagGo gear).

Anker’s news comes on the heels of Belkin’s update on its own Qi2 chargers on Thursday. We can expect Qi2 to crop up everywhere, it seems. It’s essentially a circular magnet array based on MagSafe specs, ensuring a good hold and alignment.

As Anker said:

The new 7-product lineup, which includes a variety of wireless chargers, powerbanks, wireless magnetic pads and an 8-in-1 magnetic charging station, will all include remarkable 15W ultra-fast magnetic wireless charging which effectively halves the charging time compared to its predecessor. Fast charging meets peace of mind with Anker’s exclusive MultiProtect and ActiveShield 2.0 technologies to safeguard devices during charging.

Here’s the upcoming Qi2 lineup:

  • 2 Anker MagGo Power Banks (10,000mAh and 6,600mAh versions with kickstand, LCD screen)
  • Anker Nano Wireless Charging Pad (similar to Apple’s MagSafe charging puck)
  • 3 styles of Anker 3-in-1 wireless charging station (tree, pad and power bank with fold-out platform)
  • Anker MagGo Charging Station 8-in-1. This little 67W orb offers 15W wireless charging on the magnetic platform in front and two USB-C, two USB-A and three AC ports on the back.

Qi2 chargers upcoming, Nano charger available now on Amazon

Anker expects to ship the Qi2 MagGo devices in late 2023 and has not indicated prices.

However, you can buy at least one new Nano series charger now on Amazon. They feature USB-C ports instead of Lighting ports and sport built-in USB-C cables. They are the new Anker Nano Power Bank in black and ice lake blue for $49.99 (30W) or $29.99 (22W).
