Apple’s M1 MacBook Air is old but still a great everyday laptop. And at its all-time low price of $749.99, it is a fantastic deal.

With an eight-core M1 chip, the 2020 MacBook Air is faster than almost all previous Intel-based MacBooks.

2020 MacBook Air offers great value for money

The M1 MacBook Air‘s (iconic) design is showing its age. With chunky bezels surrounding its display, the laptop looks dated in front of the newer M2 MacBook Air and Pro. But if you can look past the dated design, you get a portable laptop that packs powerful internals.

Apple says the M1 chip inside the MacBook Air delivers 3.5x faster performance than previous Intel-based Macs. And it achieves this while still retaining a fanless design. So, irrespective of the load, the machine will remain silent. Even more impressive is that the M1 MacBook Air offers a battery life of 18 hours.

M1 MacBook returns to its Amazon Prime Day price

After the launch of the 15-inch MacBook Air, Apple dropped the M1 MacBook Air’s price to $999. That’s a great price for a laptop that’s fantastic for everyday use. But Amazon’s latest deal knocks the machine’s price down by 25%, making it an even better buy. So, instead of $999.99, you can get the M1 MacBook Air for $749.99.

This deal is available on all three colors of the laptop, so you can have your pick of silver, space gray or gold.

Do note that the M2 MacBook Air is a better machine than the M1 Air. But it is also more expensive. If you have the money, opt for the M2 Air; otherwise, the 2020 MacBook Air is a great buy, especially at its discounted price.
