Apple’s Magic Keyboard is perfect for your Mac
You can find plenty of keyboards for your Mac on the market. But Apple’s offering trumps them all with its build quality and Touch ID integration. Just like MacBooks, the Magic Keyboard features a dedicated Touch ID button. You can place your finger on it to unlock your Mac or third-party apps, verify payment information and more.
Apple sells two versions of its Magic Keyboard for Macs. The first one is a compact version and misses out on a dedicated numeric keypad. If space is not an issue, you’ll like the Magic Keyboard with Touch ID and a dedicated numeric keypad. Irrespective of which variant you choose, they work wirelessly over Bluetooth.
For charging, there’s a Lightning port but Apple bundles a USB-C to Lightning cable to make your life easier. With a claimed battery life of up to a month, you won’t have to top-up the keyboard’s internal battery frequently as well.
Do note that Apple’s Magic Keyboard with Touch ID only works with Apple silicon Macs. So, if you are still using an Intel-based Mac, look elsewhere.
