Still Up will follow the romantic hijinks of a pair of insomniacs. The comedy series will debut on Apple TV+ in September.
Apple gave its first look at the upcoming show on Wednesday.
Still Up set to be Apple’s next rom-com
Comedies are a mainstay of Apple’s streaming service. There’s no better example than Ted Lasso, but other outstanding comedy series on TV+ include Shrinking, Mythic Quest and Bad Sisters. And there are more.
Still Up is about to join the list. Apple says it “is an almost romantic comedy set in the after-hours world of insomniacs Danny and Lisa who have no secrets except their feelings for each other.”
It will star Craig Roberts (Red Oaks, Submarine) and Antonia Thomas (The Good Doctor, Small Axe, Lovesick) as the sleepless lead characters. They’ll be joined by Blake Harrison, Lois Chimimba, Luke Fetherston and Rich Fulcher.
The series was co-created and written by Steven Burge (Seekers) and Natalie Walter. Bryce Hart (Ten Percent) also writes on the show. It is directed by BAFTA Award nominee John Addis (Lucky Break).
Premiering this fall
Still Up will debut on Apple TV+ on Friday, September 22, with the first three episodes. These will be followed weekly by one episode every Friday.
Watching comes with a $6.99 per month subscription to the video streaming service.
