Is there such a thing as after-Prime Day sales?

Prime Day is Amazon’s made-up holiday to boost sales during a traditionally slow time of year. As the world’s largest online retailer, Amazon successfully made its 48-hour “day” of savings into a phenomena that brings out discounts on all kinds of products, including ones from Apple.

The event ended on July 12 at midnight, but some of the best deals linger on.

If you’ve been lusting after a pair of Apple’s fabulous AirPods Max headphones, but are put off by the $549 retail price, have we got a deal for you! Apple’s high-end cans just reached their lowest price ever — if you’re OK with a refurbished pair. Woot is offering Apple’s flagship headphones for $369.99. Four colors are available: Green, Pink, Silver and Sky Blue (which I think is the best color). I have a pair of AirPods Max and can confidently say they’re fantastic: They sound great, the ANC is top-notch, and they look the business. If you’re worried about buying refurbished, I often buy refurbished products and have yet to be disappointed. They often carry the same warranties as brand new, and the only thing lost is the fancy retail packaging, which you throw away anyway. In this case, Woot is offering a 90-day warranty and says the AirPods Max are “pristine” with no scratches or other blemishes. Sounds good to me. — Leander Kahney
