If a dragon had jet engines you’d have Jet Dragon, a flying, racing game that requires plenty of strategy to make a winning team.
The app debuted Friday on Apple’s gaming service, and is playable on iPhone, Mac and more.
Why can’t a dragon have a jet engine?
Racing games are a popular genre, as are flying games. But not everyone wants to pilot an airplane or a rocket. Some people prefer dragons.
Players are put in charge of a recently-hatched dragon and must train it to become a champion. Choose the right powerups and skills to make him a winner, without tiring out the beast or running out of money. And the rider needs training, too!
Over time, the player will build a flying stable with a variety of dragons. Winning requires picking the right one for race conditions.
During actual races, the dragon takes care of steering, but it’s up to players to manage boosts to get to the finish line first.
But take time to enjoy the gorgeous scenery of Venerusa as you soar through the sky.
Play it now on Apple Arcade
Jet Dragon from Greezo Co. is available now in the Apple Arcade section of the App Store. It’s playable on iPhone, Mac, iPad and Apple TV. External game controllers are an option for any of the supported platforms.
This and over 200 more are playable with a $4.99-per-month subscription to Apple’s gaming service. A family can share a subscription, and there are never irritating requests for in-app purchases or questionable loot boxes — these are banned.
