It’s barely summer and Apple is already thinking about heading back to school in the fall. But at least it’s offering students a $150 gift card with a qualifying Mac purchase, and a $100 gift card with a qualifying iPad purchase.

That’s on top of educational pricing for these computers. And a deal on AppleCare+.

Apple Back to School deal for 2023

Cupertino traditionally offers students a back to school deal in June of each year. In the past, this included free AirPods. But the 2023 version is about Apple gift cards, just as the 2022 one was.

Students can get a $150 gift card with the purchase of a MacBook Air. And, with the educational discount, the 13.6-inch version is $999.

Choose a MacBook Pro instead and the price starts at $1,199 for the 14-inch, M1 version. And that includes a $150 gift card, too.

iMacs start at $1,249 with the education discount, with a $150 gift card included. Mac mini is as little as $499 and a $100 gift card.

Students who prefer a tablet can get an iPad Air for $549 with bundled $100 gift card. Or an iPad Pro starting at $749 with a gift card of the same amount.

Apple Education Pricing is available to current and newly accepted university students and their parents, but does not include K-12. Teachers and staff at all levels are included, though.

The Apple gift card can be used for purchasing other Apple products, App Store transactions, iCloud+ storage, Apple One subscription and more.

Other student savings from Apple

Apple also offers students and eligible faculty members 20% off on AppleCare+. The discount only applies when you pay for the coverage upfront: two years for the iPad and three years for the Mac.
