2023 14-inch MacBook Pro is the same but better

Announced at the beginning of 2023, Apple’s M2 Pro-powered 14-inch MacBook Pro looks the same as its predecessor. All the changes are internal, with the switch to the faster M2 Pro chip being the biggest highlight.

Despite being based on the same 5nm fab, Apple claims the M2 Pro is 20% faster in multithread tasks and can compile Xcode up to 25% faster than M1 Pro. Thanks to additional cores, the 19-core variant of the GPU brings about a 30% performance boost in most workloads.

What’s impressive is that despite the faster performance and no change in battery capacity, the 14-inch MacBook Pro lasts an hour more than the 2021 model.

Other key changes on the 2023 MacBook Pro include Wi-Fi 6E support and an HDMI 2.1 port. For comparison, the 2021 MacBook Pros had an HDMI 2.0 port that could not drive external monitors with 8K resolution.

Get the M2 Pro MacBook Pro at its lowest-ever price

Apple did not change the prices of the 2023 MacBook Pro. So, the 14-inch entry-level model starts at $1,999, while the 1TB configuration costs $2,499. Take advantage of Amazon’s latest deal, and you can grab the entry-level 14-inch MacBook Pro at its best-ever price of $1,899.

Even better, you can score a $200 discount on the 1TB model. This brings its price down to $2,299, making it a better deal than the base model. This is because it ships with a higher 12-core CPU and a 19- GPU vs. the 10-core CPU and 16-core GPU on the base model.

Given how good the deals are, they are unlikely to last long. So grab the 2023 14-inch MacBook Pro model you want before stocks run out.
