Who doesn’t love a quaint pub, especially if it’s the 100% real one in greater London where many scenes from the hit Apple TV+ comedy Ted Lasso are shot?

Believe it or not, if you’re quick about it and quite lucky indeed, you can actually sleep in Richmond’s Crown & Anchor (known as The Prince’s Head in real life) for just $13 per night, thanks to Airbnb — and we don’t mean nodding off in a pool of Guinness.

Celebrate Ted Lasso season 3 with a night at London’s Crown & Anchor pub for $13

The Airbnb listing for The Crown & Anchor: AFC Richmond’s Favorite Pub provides all the details of the promotion, which celebrates fans of the show as its third and (probably) final season kicks off March 15.

As the listing notes, the one-night stays in October 2023 are not contest winnings. You have to pay for your stay — about the cost of a couple of pints, really ($13 per night), but that’s for up to four people. Plus, you must make all of your own travel arrangements. That’s about the cost of a few hundred pints, give or take, assuming most bookers will have to fly there.

Amusing and totally legit Airbnb listing

You and your mates can share pints and play darts, but don't expect to meet Coach Lasso or his players.

The listing is legit Airbnb all the way, complete with a host bio of Mae (played by Annette Badland on the show), who calls herself the pub’s “proud owner.” She will greet arriving guests virtually before an on-site host takes over. In real life, the pub is owned by Fuller, Smith & Turner.

Here’s the listing’s “About this space” opener:

Welcome to The Crown & Anchor, Richmond’s finest gathering spot for Greyhound fans. Our friendly neighborhood pub is where us locals cheer, swear, laugh and cry at all of the trials and tribulations of football and life. And now, I’m letting a few lucky guests stay overnight while I take the night off!

And it goes on to list available pub activities:

– Enjoying pub fare while discussing their favorite moments from the show.
– Cheering on the beloved local Richmond sports teams, decked out in AFC Richmond gear, of course.
– Taking part in a competitive round of darts — whether left- or right-handed — or aiming for the highest score on the pinball machine.
– Taking a seat at Ted’s favorite table in the pub and challenging their fellow guests to a round of chess.
– Showing off their karaoke skills with a rendition of their favorite song.
– Trying those biscuits and enjoying them over some English tea (or as Ted calls it “hot brown water”).

Be both quick and lucky

And why do you have to be quick and lucky to get in on this opportunity? Because this promotion is only available to a dozen guests, apparently.

Airbnb lists the accommodations for $13 per night and guests must make their own travel arrangements. The listing specifies four guests per night in a two-bedroom, two-bed, one-bath accommodation. Bookings are for the nights of October 23, 24 and 25, 2023.

Bookings open on Airbnb on Tuesday, March 21, at 10 a.m. PST. You’ll probably have up to several seconds to cast your lot before you lose out.

Ted Lasso season three debuts on Apple TV+ on March 15.
