The iPhone 15 Pro Max will be slightly shorter and slimmer than its predecessor, with a marginally smaller camera hump, according to the latest renders based on leaked CAD files.

The detailed 3D CAD renders previously revealed some interesting design changes, including a slightly more curved design.

iPhone 15 Pro Max could pack significant design changes

The renders posted Saturday by Ice Universe show the iPhone 15 Pro Max with rounded edges. He corroborates some information previously known about the phone. This includes a titanium alloy middle frame with a frosted finish, a USB-C port at the bottom, and solid-state buttons instead of physical ones.

What’s new here is that the leaker detailed the iPhone 15 Pro Max’s dimensions. Ice Universe claims the upcoming iPhone will feature narrower bezels than the iPhone 14 Pro Max.

This will lead to a reduction in dimensions, with the device measuring 159.86 mm x 76.73 mm x 8.25 mm. For comparison, the iPhone 14 Pro Max measures 160.7 mm x 77.6 mm x 7.85 mm. The change in dimensions means iPhone 14 Pro Max cases will not fit the upcoming Pro Max.

On the flip side, the phone reportedly will be thicker: 8.25 mm versus the iPhone 14 Pro Max’s 7.85 mm waistline. The slight reduction in the camera hump could be due to the increase in the thickness of the chassis.

iPhone 15 design details have leaked extensively

Based on the latest leaks, it seems the iPhone 15 Pro Max will pack more design changes than previously believed.

Over the last week, many design details about the iPhone 15 series have emerged online. Renders show Apple bringing the Dynamic Island — a pill-shaped, interactive user interface at the top of the iPhone 14 Pro screen — to the non-Pro iPhone lineup this year. The entry-level iPhone 15 reportedly will get a slightly bigger 6.2-inch display.

Apple also reportedly intends to launch the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus in dark pink and light blue colors. As for the iPhone 15 Pro lineup, it could launch with a new dark red color.
