A new report lays out possible new colors coming to the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro lineup this year. Thursday’s leak comes just days after the arrival of detailed CAD renders of the upcoming iPhones, revealing upcoming design changes.
iPhone 15 Pro could launch in a hot dark red color
With every release, Apple typically offers the iPhone in at least one new color. While the Pro models thus far come only in bland, businesslike hues, the regular iPhone models sometimes get a shot of vibrant color.
This year, Apple intends to offer the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max in a dark red shade, according to 9to5Mac. The hex code for the color is #410D0D, an extremely deep red shade called “dark sienna.”
The iPhone 14 Pro is available in a deep purple hue, so this new dark red color scheme for the iPhone 15 Pro would align with Apple’s strategy.
Rumors suggest Apple will use a titanium chassis on the iPhone 15 Pro series. So, it will be interesting to see how the dark red shade looks on the phone.
Leaked iPhone 15 Pro CAD renders already detailed its design, showing rounded edges, a bigger camera hump and a USB-C port at the bottom. The high-end iPhone also reportedly will come with solid-state physical buttons.
iPhone 15 also might get two new colors
As for the non-Pro iPhone 15 series, it could be available in a new dark pink (hex code #CE3C6C) and a light blue (hex code #4DB1E2). While the pink hue is dark, the blue color is on the lighter side.
Apple typically makes the non-Pro iPhones available in five or six colors, so the iPhone 15 lineup potentially could bring more color options than usual. This includes standard colors like white, black and red.
The report indicates that Apple has not finalized the color options for the iPhone 15 series yet. This means the company might not proceed with the leaked color choices.
