Apple once again tops Fortune‘s list of the most admired companies in the world. It’s an honor Cupertino earned many times before. “For the 16th consecutive year, Apple finishes first in our annual ranking of corporate reputation,” noted Fortune.

Other tech giants that made the top 10 include Amazon, Microsoft and Alphabet/Google.

Apple is once again the world’s most admired company

For 25 years, Fortune has polled corporate executives, directors and analysts to find the companies they respect the most. For the last 16 years, Apple has come in No. 1 every year.

The first time was 2008, the year after the original iPhone launched. The device’s early success likely helped boost Apple to the top. After that, the Mac-maker stayed there at least partly due to the company’s continued financial accomplishments. (Apple’s currently worth $2.35 trillion, and made $100 billion in 2022 thanks to strong sales of Mac, iPad and other devices.

As noted, other tech behemoths made the top 10.

“The biggest tech companies may be facing relatively tough times, but the 25th edition of the Fortune World’s Most Admired Companies All-Stars list suggests that the giants’ peers respect them as much as ever,” said Fortune.

Amazon and Microsoft tied for second, while Google’s parent company Alphabet came in ninth. Meta/Facebook is notably absent from the top of the list, as is the other FAANG stock, Netflix.

Non-tech companies on the World’s Most Admired Companies All-Stars list include Berkshire Hathaway, JPMorgan Chase, Walt Disney, Costco Wholesale, Pfizer and American Express.
