OtterBox is known for its very protective iPhone cases, and its new OtterGrip Symmetry Series case adds a twist: a pop-up handle. Surprisingly, this doesn’t interfere with MagSafe wireless charging.

The design was good enough to win an Innovations Award at CES 2023 in January, and the case is now available to order.

OtterBox OtterGrip lets you get a handle on your iPhone

Cases to protect handsets from the inevitable bumps and blows of life are nearly ubiquitous. And pop-up handles are also very popular, if not quite as widespread. OtterBox OtterGrip for iPhone combines these two accessories into one.

It provides 3x MIL STD drop protection to give users confidence that a single accident won’t smash their phone.

And there’s a pop-up handle built into its back. This sits completely flush when not in use. The grip rotates 360 degrees, and has room for two fingers. It’s soft to the touch, so it’s comfortable to use.

Very protective cases and handles often block wireless charging, so it’s surprising that OtterBox OtterGrip promises “no-fuss MagSafe compatibility” considering it has both.

Available now in a range of colors

OtterBox OtterGrip Symmetry Series comes in a range of colors, from basic black to an array of on-trend colors and graphics. All are made of approximately 50% recycled materials, and some include antimicrobial protection.

Cases cost $59.95, and can be ordered starting Tuesday, February 21.
