M2 MacBook Air is beautiful and powerful

Apple announced the redesigned M2 MacBook Air at WWDC22. It houses a 13.6-inch Liquid Retina display with a rated brightness of 500 nits. Unlike the Pro models, you don’t get 120Hz ProMotion support on the MacBook Air. It also misses out on a dedicated microSD card slot and HDMI port.

All M2 MacBook Air reviews unanimously praised the machine for its beautiful new design, fast performance, and excellent battery life.

Powered by Apple’s newest M2 chip, the machine packs more than enough power to handle almost any task you throw at it. Benchmarks show the M2 chip is about 18% faster than the M1. However, Apple has switched to higher-density NAND chips with the M2 MacBook Air. Due to this, the 256GB model SSD’s performance is slower than its predecessor. This is not an issue with the 512GB configuration, as it uses two NAND chips in parallel.

Save 10% on the M2 MacBook Air

Amazon is offering a 10% discount on the M2 MacBook Air with 512GB storage in the midnight shade. The space gray color gets a slightly lower $100 off, with there being no discounts on the gold and silver colors.

Do note the 512GB M2 MacBook Air ships with 8GB RAM. This should be enough for casual use. But if you intend to use the machine for photo/video editing or other heavy workloads, consider bumping the system memory to 16GB to avoid any performance issues.
