Apple’s excellent M1 iPad Air is down to its lowest price of $499.99 on Amazon after a $99 discount. This is the same price the tablet was available for during last year’s Black Friday.

You can get a similar $99 off on the 256GB and cellular variants of the M1 iPad Air.

iPad Air 5 packs Apple’s powerful M1 chip

The iPad Air 5 with an M1 chip launched in March 2022. While it retains the same design as the 2020 model, Apple has overhauled its internals to switch to its faster M1 chip. This is the same SoC that powers the company’s 2020 Mac mini and 13-inch MacBook Pro.

Thanks to the powerful chip, you can use the M1 iPad Air for photo/video editing work or as a true desktop replacement. The tablet’s 10.9-inch Liquid Retina display is another highlight, though it misses out on 120Hz ProMotion support like its Pro sibling. It also has a Touch ID sensor integrated into the side key for authentication purposes.

Apple sells the entry-level Wi-Fi iPad Air 5 with 64GB storage. This might be insufficient, so consider getting the 256GB model. There’s also the Wi-Fi + Cellular model, which supports 5G connectivity.

M1 iPad Air drops to its lowest price again

At $599, the 2022 iPad Air already offers tremendous value for money. If you don’t care about the ProMotion display or quad speakers, the Air is a way better deal than the iPad Pro.

With Amazon slashing $99 off the tablet’s price, the M1 iPad Air becomes an even better deal. You can get the entry-level 64GB 2022 iPad Air for $499.99 after the discount. While the tablet is available in five colors, the deal is not available on all of them.

You can score a similar $99 discount on the 256GB variant of the M1 iPad Air. This brings its price down to a more reasonable $649.99, though again the deal is not available in all colors.

Given how good the offer is, stocks are unlikely to last long. So pull the trigger on the variant you want as early as possible.
