Apple’s svelte M2 MacBook Air is available with a $149 discount on Amazon. This deal is on the entry-level configuration that typically retails for $1,199.

After the discount, you can get the base M2 MacBook Air with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage for $1,049.

M2 MacBook Air is beautiful and powerful

Apple announced the 2022 MacBook Air with the efficient M2 chip at WWDC22 this year. The latest Air is a radical departure from the previous model. It follows the same design language as the 2021 MacBook Pros with squared-off edges. And while it might not be immediately obvious, the new Air is both slimmer and lighter than the M1 Air.

Despite a more compact chassis, the 2022 MacBook Air features a bigger 13.6-inch Retina display. It has a notch at the top, but it serves a purpose by housing a 1080p FaceTime HD camera.

Besides the new design, the faster M2 chip is another highlight of the 2022 MacBook Air. The new chip is 18% faster than the M1, with the GPU also being faster by a similar amount. But since the Air has a fanless design, the machine is not meant for sustained workloads like heavy video editing or rendering.

Despite packing so much power and a slim chassis, Apple claims the M2 MacBook Air can last up to 10 hours between charges. And when charged through the MagSafe port, you can top up the battery to 50% in 30 minutes.

Get the M2 MacBook Air with a 13% discount

The M2 MacBook Air carries an MSRP of $1,199. This makes it $200 more expensive than the M1 Air.  If you were previously unable to extend your budget to get the M2 Air, you should take advantage of Amazon’s latest deal.

It knocks $150 off the machine’s entry-level configuration, bringing its price down to $1,049. Ahead of Black Friday, this is likely the best deal you are going to find on Apple’s latest MacBook Air.
