Apple has started selling the first 15W MagSafe car charger, made by Belkin. Up until now magnetic car chargers haven’t used Apple-certified MagSafe technology. They’re Qi-certified chargers with magnets that offer half the power of a 15W MagSafe charger.

But that changes now with Belkin’s Boost Charger Pro Wireless Car Charger with MagSafe.

Apple started selling Belkin’s new MFi-certified charger on Friday, about two years after MagSafe first arrived. Surprisingly, it’s the first official MagSafe car charger to date.

So the new car charger is the first one to offer your iPhone 12, 13 or 14 series phone a full 15W of charging power, as opposed to maxing out at 7.5W.

That, of course, means that this charger clipped to a dashboard vent will top off your handset more quickly than any other released so far.

The silver charger is oval in shape and connects via an adjustable clip to your dashboard vent. You can adjust the viewing angle. The charger comes with a USB-C cable and a CLA USB-C car charger that plugs into the dashboard lighter socket.

You can preorder the charger now. Apple plans to start shipping Belkin’s charger on November 14.

Price: $99.95
