The latest version of the Logitech Crayon iPad stylus charges via USB-C, just like the new iPad 10. That makes it a simpler option than the Apple Pencil 1 that still uses Lightning.
And the stylus is designed with children in mind.
Logitech Crayon stylus is for USB-C iPads
The newly announced iPad 10 makes the switch from Lightning to USB-C but the only Apple stylus it supports is the original Apple Pencil, which requires a Lightning port to charge. Apple offers an adapter so its stylus can connect to a USB-C cable, but it’s something that can be easily lost.
The new version of the Logitech Crayon charges via a USB-C port. Plug the iPad 10’s charging cable in to juice it up. It’s a simpler method.
“With no small or detachable pieces, Logitech Crayon has a uni-body design that’s built to last,” says Logitech. “You can even feel confident handing it off to your kid for a quick doodle.”
It’s not necessary to pair the stylus with the tablet. Just turn it on and start writing. The stylus offers palm rejection, and users can vary the line width by angling the tip. The accessory does not offer pressure sensitivity, though.
To be clear, Logitech’s stylus works with more than just the 2022 iPad. it can be used with all Apple tablets released 2018 or later as long as they have iPadOS 12.2 That’s iPad, iPad Pro, iPad Air and iPad mini.
