Apple’s older but still powerful M1 MacBook Air is discounted by a whopping $200 for Amazon’s Prime Early Access Sale. The laptop carries an MSRP of $999, but you can save $200 and get it for $799 after the discount.
This is among the lowest prices Apple’s M1 MacBook Air has dropped to in recent months. Despite its age, the machine promises all-day battery life and has enough power for everyday use.

M1 MacBook Air is sleek and powerful
The MacBook Air was among the first Macs to receive an internal overhaul to Apple silicon in 2020. Despite the massive internal upgrade, Apple left the laptop’s exterior design unchanged.
The company recently announced the 2022 MacBook Air with a new design and a slightly faster M2 chip. But that does not make the 2020 MacBook Air any worse. Look past the old design, and you will see that the M1 Air has enough grunt to handle your daily workloads.
As noted in Cult of Mac’s M1 MacBook Air review, we opened more than 650 Safari tabs on the machine without any performance hiccups. So you can rest assured knowing that the M1 chip inside the 2020 MacBook Air is still plenty powerful.
Unlike the 2021 MacBook Pros, you don’t get a lot of ports on the M1 MacBook Air. There are two Thunderbolt 3/USB-C ports that you can use to connect high-bandwidth accessories and one external monitor. There’s no MagSafe 3 port or fast-charging support here, either.
Save $200 on the M1 MacBook Air
Apple sells the M1 MacBook Air for $999 before taxes. For the Prime Early Access Sale, Amazon is making the machine way more affordable by knocking $2oo off its MSRP. This is for the entry-level variant with 8GB of RAM and 256GB storage. You can get the 20% discount on the Mac laptop in all three shades: gold, silver and space gray.
Note: The deal is unlikely to last long, and stocks could run out fast. So, if you want a MacBook on a budget, take advantage of this deal as soon as possible.
