You can amass an array of the world’s most formidable tech gear and photograph it, but if you get a cute animal in the frame — living or inanimate — that’s where all eyes will go.
Today’s clean MacBook Pro setup boasts a 34-inch curved ultra-wide display, a custom mechanical keyboard and other cool stuff.
But it also has a duck that glows.

Glowing duck lamp lights the way for MacBook Pro, 34-inch ultra-wide display and custom mechanical keyboard
Australian Redditor LiMasala showcased the classy setup in a post entitled, “Where I spend most of my time.” Yes, don’t we all. And while pretty much all of us spend too much time at the computer, we don’t all have such cute and cozy lighting.
If you’re like the commenters on Li’s post, it’s the warmly glowing duck you want the most.
A 2019 16-inch MacBook Pro is all well and good. A Sony PlayStation 5 is no mere plaything (er, OK, it is, mainly used here with a TV rather than the laptop). And a 34-inch Philips curved ultra-wide QHD LED display with a built-in KVM switch for managing peripherals connectivity is nothing to sneeze at.
But would you look at that glowing duck! It’s sitting on the monitor riser to the right of the display. And it simply commands attention.

“Simplicity is awesomeness,” one commenter said. “I need the link to that glowing duck.”
“Does it serve as SAD lamp by any chance?” asked another, referring to light therapy for Seasonal Affective Disorder.
“You won’t ever get sad anymore if u get it so IDK,” quipped another. To which Li added, “Can confirm, haven’t been sad since getting duck lamp.”
Well, if you believe in the adorable duck, maybe that’s enough to keep your spirits up. It probably also helps reduce eye strain.
It’s a squeezable silicone lamp with a couple of brightness settings for its LED, anti-blue light. There are several versions for sale. We found one called Benson The Duck Light and put it in the product links list below with the rest of the gear.
Dbrand laptop skins, input devices
And that includes something Li uses to dress up the setup. The MacBook on the left and part of the gaming rig on the right are dressed in matching DBrand Robot skins. They add some color coordination and a faux-marble texture.
Finally, the input devices are worth a mention. Li uses a KBDFans Tofu 60 custom mechanical keyboard. You can order every element separately on one page at the company’s website, or select an assembled device.
He pairs the custom keeb with the ever-popular Logitech MX Master 3S wireless mouse, but adds a wrinkle we see only occasionally. While the keyboard has no wrist rest, the mouse does — a DeltaHub Carpio 2.0.
“It’s awesome!” Li said. “It took me about a week to get used to but now I can’t use my mouse without it.” Another commenter agreed, saying it adds both comfort and speed to mousing.
